Originally from Argentina and now based in Copenhagen, Estefanía Villanueva brings her background in audiovisual design and lifelong love of drawing and visual storytelling into her work as a tattoo artist.

Her approach is thoughtful and explorative, with a strong focus on creating tattoos that connect naturally with the body's shape, movement and flow.

Estefanía works across blackwork, illustration, ornamental and fineline, with a particular love for surreal imagery, organic forms and designs that carry a visual story. Her background in design gives her a strong eye for composition, allowing her to develop each piece in close collaboration with the person wearing it.

She is especially passionate about developing her own visual language within surreal blackwork and larger compositions, while also exploring botanical and ornamental work, animals and Japanese-inspired compositions.

Alongside tattooing, Estefanía is developing Worlds Within – an ongoing series of original characters inspired by memory, childhood, inner worlds and the places we find refuge.
